Before submitting any written work, especially in academic or research contexts, proofreading is a crucial step to eliminate language, spelling, and grammar errors. What is Proofreading?

Proofreading is the last stage in the preparation of a document before submission for publication in a journal. It involves a detailed review of the text to identify and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, formatting, and sentence structure.

Document Proofreading Requirements

  1. The Proofreading Center accepts a variety of scientific documents, including full articles, short articles, review papers, MSc and Ph.D. theses, and presentations.

  2. Documents may be submitted in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or PDF formats.

  3. Please ensure that your submission is the final version of the document.

  4. The proofreading process is considered complete either upon submission to the publisher or after three rounds of revisions, whichever comes first.

  5. Proofreading fees are calculated based on word count:
     15,000 IQD (or $10) per 1,000 words 

  6. The proofreading process is completed within five (5) working days from the date the manuscript is received.

  7. The final version of the manuscript will be delivered with a similarity score of no more than 20%.

Additionally, the Proofreading Center offers formatting services to ensure your paper meets the journal’s submission standards.
Formatting service cost: 7,000 IQD (or $5) per page.

Document Submission Procedure for Language Proofreading

  1. Submit your document to the following email address: proofreaders@ijmrai.edu.iq
    Your email should include the following details:

    • Full Name

    • Academic Qualification

    • Address

    • Email

    • Phone Number

  2. After submission, the Proofreading Center will send you a receipt confirming the service fee, along with the estimated time required to complete the proofreading.

  3. To begin the proofreading process, you must complete the payment and send a copy of the payment receipt to proofreaders@ijmrai.edu.iq

  4. Once payment is confirmed, you will receive the first proofread version of your document. This version will include all corrections, comments, and suggested changes made by the proofreader. You may review and provide feedback or additional comments if needed.

  5. The proofreader will incorporate your feedback into the final version of the document. You will then receive the completed, error-free document in Microsoft Word format.

How to Pay for the Proofreading Service

You have two convenient options for paying the proofreading service fee:

  1. Direct Cash Payment
    If you prefer to pay in person, you can arrange a face-to-face payment. Simply contact the proofreader at proofreaders@ijmrai.edu.iq to receive further instructions.

  2. Zain Cash App
    For a more flexible and convenient option, payments can be made through the Zain Cash App. This allows you to securely transfer the fee from your mobile device at any time.
