Aims and Scope
The International Journal of Mechatronics, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (IJMRAI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access digital publication devoted to disseminating original research across all domains of mechatronics engineering.
IJMRAI aims to facilitate rapid dissemination of scholarly work, providing authors with an expedited publication process and broad visibility among a global audience comprising engineers, scientists, academics, professionals, and stakeholders from various sectors.
This multidisciplinary platform is intended to serve individuals engaged in research, development, and application of electrical, electromechanical, computer, control, and electronic engineering principles within academic institutions, industrial environments, governmental bodies, and consultative or policy-making organizations. The readership includes, but is not limited to, engineers, researchers, consultants, economists, policy advisors, and corporate decision-makers.
To be considered for publication, submitted manuscripts must demonstrate scientific rigor, methodological soundness, and clarity in presentation. Conclusions must be substantiated by comprehensive and valid data analysis. The editorial evaluation emphasizes originality, relevance, and potential impact on the field. Consequently, IJMRAI encourages the submission of niche studies, preliminary investigations, and manuscripts reporting non-confirmatory or negative results, provided they contribute meaningfully to existing knowledge.
The journal’s broad thematic coverage supports an integrated approach to publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research. Submissions must be directed to IJMRAI for exclusive consideration.
Subject areas include, but are not limited to:
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Electronics and Communications Engineering
• Instrumentation and Measurement
• Power Systems and Electrical Machines
• Signal, Image Processing, and Computer Vision
• Robotics and Automation
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Energy Systems and Management
• Control Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
Peer Review Policy – Overview
IJMRAI is a biannual publication, releasing its issues in June and December.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief to determine their alignment with the journal’s stated aims and scope, and to ensure they meet the fundamental standards of academic and methodological quality. Submissions deemed suitable are then forwarded for external peer review.
Each manuscript passing the preliminary screening is evaluated by a minimum of three independent reviewers who possess appropriate subject-matter expertise. The peer review process assesses the scientific validity, originality, clarity, and relevance of the work. Particular preference is given to manuscripts that are methodologically sound, address contemporary challenges in engineering, and are accessible to a broad interdisciplinary audience.
Following the peer review, the Editor-in-Chief retains full responsibility for the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection. If revisions are necessary, authors will receive detailed feedback and are expected to submit a revised manuscript addressing the reviewers’ and editor’s comments within a period of 4 to 8 weeks. In some cases, revised submissions may be subjected to an additional round of peer review to ensure that all concerns have been appropriately resolved.
Upon final acceptance, minor editorial modifications may be requested to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to publication standards.
While the journal endeavors to reach decisions in a timely manner, delays may occur due to the limited availability of qualified reviewers. In such cases, authors may be invited to propose additional experts who may serve as reviewers, subject to the journal’s approval.
Open Access and Copyright Policy
All publications in the IJMRAI are made immediately and permanently accessible to the public under an open access model. Articles can be freely read, downloaded, distributed, and reused under the terms of a Creative Commons license.
The copyright of each published article remains with the author(s). By submitting their work, authors grant IJMRAI the non-exclusive right to publish the article and to acknowledge IJMRAI as the original source of publication. Furthermore, authors permit unrestricted use of their work by third parties, provided the content remains unaltered, proper credit is given to the original authors, citation details are preserved, and IJMRAI is clearly recognized as the publishing entity.
Abstracting and Indexing
Indexing in major academic databases is a progressive process that typically occurs over time as a journal establishes its presence and reputation within the scholarly community. The IJMRAI actively pursues inclusion in recognized indexing and abstracting services to enhance the visibility and accessibility of its published content.
Readers and contributors will be regularly informed of new indexing developments as they occur.
At present, IJMRAI is indexed in the following databases and platforms:
• Google Scholar
• ResearchGate
• Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals
